Deposit Options Check
Six questions, about a minute. See which ways into a home may apply to you, and the catch on each. Nothing you enter is sent anywhere.
Ways in that may apply to you
Every option has eligibility rules and a catch. This check can’t see your full situation, so treat it as a starting list, not a yes.
What the check looks at
The rules that decide most of the ways in: whether you’ll live in the home, whether you’ve owned before and when, whether you’re a single parent, your residency, your income against the Help to Buy caps, and how much you’ve saved.
It doesn’t look at your state’s price caps, your credit file or how lenders would read your income. That’s what the Real Number Session is for.
The ways in it checks
- The 5% Deposit Scheme, and its 2% single parent version.
- Help to Buy, the government’s shared equity scheme.
- A family guarantee, and a deposit funded by a separate loan.
- Profession policies, and a standard loan above 80%.
- For investors, the lender’s own policies and using equity.
